In the fight against cancer, maintaining a healthy immune system is vital


Maintaining ahealthy diet is one important way to reduce your chances of getting cancer and other diseases. There are many foods that help the body naturally fight off cancer cells. The Important thing, is to keep your immune system operating at maximum capacity. The right nutrition can help you do just that. But there are other steps that you can take to strengthen your immune system and take control of your health. Whether you want to avoid getting cancer, or if you've been diagnosed with it or any other disease; here are a few things that will help you fight off these diseases:

  • Get plenty of sleep every day.
  • Unless you've been diagnosed with skin cancer, try to get 30 minutes of sun a day (during low intensity hours).
  • Eliminate all processed sugars from your diet - including sugar substitutes that are chemically produced.
  • Substitute natural green tea for coffee and sodas (in tea use stevia instead of sugar).
  • Maintain a regular exercise regimen of at least two to three times a week.
  • Cook exclusively with coconut oil and use extra virgin olive oil only when cooking with extreme heat. Do not burn your foods.
  • Change your diet so that two thirds of what you eat is vegetables and fruits.
  • Load up on herbs and spices like garlic, ginger root, turmeric root, basil, rosemary, and cinnamon. You should be consuming one or more of these daily.
  • Try to buy only organic vegetables and fruits, especially for things like strawberries, broccoli and spinach, which can absorb or contain chemical pesticides in the skin or leaves.

  • Eliminate most starches, especially breads that are processed with bromine.
  • Drink at least eight glasses of water a day.
  • Avoid processed juices like orange juice, which contain too much sugar and are robbed of all their nutrients. Get your juice directly from the fruit and drink instantly. An even better choice is to blend the whole fruit (-outer skin) in a high speed blender.
  • Purchase grass fed beef whenever possible.
  • I was not going to include this one because I figured, if you're smoking, you either want cancer, or you don't have a clue. But to avoid getting emails from people saying"You forgot the most important one",here goes... Don't smoke!
  • Finally, it doesn't hurt to get a massage when your feeling stressed.
